Being a jack of all trades isn’t a bad thing.

Being an ace of all trades is a bad thing. This is why people were pissed about Twilicorn. She was unbeatable at everything, including authority; the writers wrote themselves into a corner that they couldn’t get out of. And then they rubbed it in by having Twilight be the only character not to talk about her flaws in the We’re Not Flawless song that everyone keeps using to excuse her admittedly Mary Sue-ish abilities.

Sunny, however, has no authority and no overpowered magic, thus some magic wings and a magic horn aren’t a problem.
