They said the same thing about Rarity 1.0, and she went on to become one of the, if not the, most popular of the G4 Mane Six. Don’t be surprised if Pipp follows the same path.

After her mother was already arrested…

While I do think they could have and should have done more with Pipp she certainly wasn’t useless.
 
Pipp didn’t have the opportunity to do anything of value until she met them later on the way out of Zephyr Heights. She did give them direction.
 
Later, she helps encourage Sunny.
 
These two things were her biggest contributions… and honestly, they feel a little underwhelming. Hitch was Sunny’s foalhood friend and emotional support. Zipp gave valuable information for Sunny’s quest… Izzy helped start off the whole adventure. Those all seem like big things, but they were all a little important in the end.
 
I would’ve liked to see Pipp do something else rather than mostly just tag along, but also consider that she kind of ended up stuck with them because she didn’t have a choice. It was that or getting arrested by her own people. It was get arrested, or travel with the ponies who put her into this mess to begin with to do who knows what.
 
I wish they would’ve done more with her… even if it was just showing her change in opinion of the situation in a little more detail, but ultimately… she kinda did what she could. Maybe she could’ve actively helped Izzy with the fake horn thing, that would’ve been nice. She loves makeovers, right? She probably would’ve had fun helping.
 
Ultimately we don’t know much about Pipp. We got to know her the least. What we saw of her was all surface level… and I think that’s what sucks here. We will probably get a chance to know her better as things go on.
 
Remember to be careful comparing the 90 minutes of G5 to the 5056+ minutes of Friendship is Magic.  
Friendship is Magic wasn’t built in a day, and G5 won’t be either. Even our Mane 6 of yesteryear weren’t fully fleshed out early on ^^

Did everyone forget she was literally the one that got Sunny into the groove to be able to win that dancing game? She has experiences of performing on stage so she is better at tempos and dance movements than everyone else. She was the first and only one to help out Sunny when Sunny was stumped on the dance floor. She basically helped win one of the crystals. How the f is that useless?
 
She is not useless. You guys are just mean.

I do find it funny that she’s voiced by a voice actor who’s playing a social media personality, while her sister who isn’t that is voiced by a social media personality.

Indeed she did, its the start of a new series, one that only had 90 minutes to sell itself. They did fine for the most part.

You can dislike her all you want, the world isn’t black and white. All the characters other then sunny and izzy where perfectly complacent with their life. Hitch wanted nothing but to bring sunny home, zipp had the power to stop it but similarly did nothing. They all have their reasons.

I mean, i like her but i can see her flaws bud. She has plenty of then, issue is what you’re not seeing is that this is how she grew up, she was taught the way she lived. She clearly loved her fans and enjoyed making them happy. If she was born to believe that lying was okay to make others happy, guess what? Shes gonna lie to make others happy.
