Sunset Shimmer is quite skilled with a guitar, may it be electric or acoustic. And hearing her sing a song as she strums those strings can make you feel so alive. When she played this guitar, she sang about not being afraid when things don’t go your way and it feels like you are caught in the rain. There is always a silver lining. And even though she dealt with a lot of hardships since her redemption, from trying to stop Equestrian magic from leaking into her new home and to prove to everyone that she is not the bad girl she used to be, there will always be sunshine behind the doleful clouds. And to many of us, she is that sunshine whenever we see her or hear her beautiful voice.
 
I admit I was trying to choose a new reference among the collection of screencaps I got all day. I eventually chose this one. This turned out to a really complicated and time consuming, especially since I had to work on the guitar. What drove me crazy that after I worked on the head and then got started on the instrument, I deleted the head layer and by the time I saved my file I realized my mistake. So I had to work on the head… AGAIN! Grrr… I’m such a scatterbrain. The glowing pattern on the sound board isn’t completely accurate, but I had to stick to feathering a couple of layers to give it that glowing look; gradient isn’t always reliable. Also I decided not to include the mic. I’ll see if I’ll do a copy of this with the microphone and post it on Derpibooru. For now, this turned out beautifully.
