Has anyone ever noticed that the enemies in Cheetahmen look like sprites from the other games on the cartridge? It’s almost like the game itself recognizes itself as evil somewhat.

Wow, believe it or not., my VG history is very much like yours. I was a 90s kid, during the rein of the N64, the system was $186.00 if I remember, I never really got the chance to even grab the controller. Instead I grew up with NES and SNES games for most of my childhood. Most of the games in my library were by most definition, “crap”, but I somehaow enjoyed it as a kid. Say if I go back and play those games right now, I would immediately drop the controllers.

Though my gaming days are over, I still admire VGs for their nostalgia value. May one day pick up a controller again.

But then you get to the unknown and you find this, and in that moment in time you decide “should I go back or should I keep moving forward” if you go back then you leave the imagination unsatisfied, but if you go forward then your limits our tested. I picked the latter and payed for it….but at least I could say “hey, could be worse…”

No
It’s because my parents are…I’m not going to talk about my financial issue right now
But when I was younger, it was all the classic(cheaper) game consoles (I.e. Nes, snes, sega, etc…)And among all those games was this…this…this abomination that someone poor soul thought “hey this seems like a awesome game to younger generations, let’s sell it”, I tolerate games now a day because, they are not as bad as what I was forced to grow up with
Yes while others played CoD one and (I don’t know gundam?) I played this, et-ET!!! and many others
My childhood was dark and lonely in the game world, but it’s what made me^ the man today…

I wasn’t even born ingot he generation this game was created for, but even I know of it’s awfulness, it’s glitcheness, and it’s…I can’t even say
This game was bad, but it’s a classic sadly so I can’t get mad at it that much
But it still won’t stop me^ from doing it

I think this quote from the AVGN sums up this “game” perfectly:

“With games that crash, hideous jumping control, random characters, microscopic sprites, a marathon of mediocre space shooters, dying in mid-air, problem with proportion, misleading titles, misleading power-ups, embarrassing weapons, seizure-inducing backgrounds, lack of enemies, games you can’t win, games you can’t lose, games that make no sense whatsoever, shitty graphics, shitty music, shitty menus, and a fuckton of other things, it should have been illegal for them to sell this rotten shitload of putrid fuck for any price! I feel humiliated for living on the same planet as someone who designed an electronic abomination of this magnitude! Couldn’t they have tried making ‘‘one’’ good game… as opposed to fifty-two horrible games? Quality over quantity. That’s our lesson for today.”
