Ah this is good. Stirs up some feelings too. I can’t remember if they interacted in the fic itself but it would be crazy to think they didn’t given they’re both young gryphons who’ve been raised in Fillydelphia. It’s pretty sad given that Egon dies and Zella is essentially abandoned to her fate after Gawd takes over with everyone she looks up to dead or gone. Neither of them really had any choice in being there and weren’t given the chance to know or do anything different so it’s deeply unfair really. Seeing them happy here (at least Zella, Egon’s probably confused) is bittersweet, to say the least.
