Honestly too, there’s actually very little “story” in the game since it’s mostly a farm sim / exploration game. The main character never speaks, and 99% of the game is first-person: the only time you see Beatrix in-game is on the title screen and inside the house, and it’s the exact same image of her. The game doesn’t even really have an ending, like there’s an “end state” where after getting to a certain point the ending credits roll, but then the game just continues like nothing happened. It’s really not the kind of game you play if you want a story :D
@Wayneponeth
Yeah I’m looking forward to it too. The first game “ends” with a portal to another area, but you can’t use it so I’m assuming that’s how the sequel starts :D
@Badumsquish
I never actually played it. I watched Youtubers play it. I’ll eventually buy it though, when it’s on sale. I’m poor. :P
I didn’t know there’s going to be a sequel. Can’t wait to see more of it. :D
@moonchosen
No, Beatrix (the human character in this pic) is clearly a woman. But Casey’s gender (and by extension, Beatrix’s orientation) is meant to be ambiguous.
@Badumsquish
That’s more than fair and completely understandable! I haven’t played the game so I didn’t know the character’s gender was ambiguous. Now you’ve piqued my curiosity about it even more. I’ll check it out!

The lady there, Beatrix, is from a really good indie game called Slime Rancher where you feed slimes, harvest their plorts (which is basically their poop lol) to sell, and build a ranch out of it. There’s basically one of about three things Beatrix wants to do with Tremble here, and all of them are pretty weird XD
I actually really recommend the game if you’re into farming sims. It’s really fun to explore, like it plays like a first-person shooter, you have a jetpack and no fall-damage, and there’s your ranch that you build and customize as well as this big world map to explore and find new stuff :D
@Harmonio
Just as long as you keep them fed and don’t let them turn into Tarr XD
@Background Pony #4E88
Lol yeah, it’s a lot weirder when they’re outright sapient. Then again there’s BOb so maybe the slimes are all sentient and just fine with being corralled XD
@Wayneponeth
I’m basically at the point on the game where my whole ranch is automated with drones and I’m pretty much just finishing up little tasks like the sidequests and finding all of the treasure pods. We’re getting a sequel too from the sounds of it, but I hope we get one more DLC for the game just to pad out the last three empty slime species slots on the Plort Market XD
@Bluebolt21
Unfortunately she hasn’t learned the whole “don’t take treats from strangers” thing XD
@moonchosen
The reason I wouldn’t do such a thing, and it’s kind of weird to explain, is in the story Beatrix is clearly in a relationship of some kind with someone named Casey, but the nature of the relationship (though Casey’s messages make it fairly clear Casey loves Beatrix) as well as Casey’s gender are deliberately left ambiguous. When a creator does that with a character, I kind of think that should be respected and they shouldn’t be used to make a statement one way or the other. Does that make sense or am I not describing it well enough? Like, to me it’s fine when the character’s sexuality or orientation isn’t really relevant one way or the other, but when it’s deliberately ambiguous and that’s relevant to the story, it’s not a good thing to do I think :D
:D
Yeah. Cute characters are named Beatrix. Incidentally :D
I like the girl’s name :)

What do you mean by “typical”?
Yet Slime Rancher came out five years ago in 2016.
… Holy shit, that makes me feel old.
*slow clap*
I gotta a VERY special corral for you, the cat slime has been lonely in there. >:}

Just pointing things out as I see them.
I like people who always try to have the last word by complaining about people always trying to have the last word.
Maybe so other people won’t misunderstand the spirit of my post as you did?
Edited
you’re the kinda guy who needs the last word. if it was so silly then why even respond?
I’ve never wanted to roll my eyes so hard at the fact someone took such a silly post so seriously…
exactly
i’ve never wanted to roll my eyes so hard. there’s giving suggestions and then begging
Really…?
