Yes! I miss your robot pony series. It was one of my favorite things to look at in the fandom. They’re so cute, so cool, and so creative. Great to see them come back. :D
Also robots are not emotionless. They’re hardworking babies trying to make our lives easier. I name my computer Chloe and she’s the most helpful computer I’ve ever had. =w=
I think a phenomenon similar to but not human emotion will eventually manifest in self replicating machines with enough complexity for I believe the interference of quantum effects in their circuitry may result in an effect similar to evolution. That is my thoughts on it, at least.
So maybe it’s not emotion as we know it but something similar to it. :)
@Enmity1498
Technological development is a thing, don’tcha know? (especially in a setting where the degree it’s shown standing at is lacking consistency as much as MLP:FiM’s)
@Enmity1498
Right back at’cha. In fact, if arguing with an Internet user on a brony website is such a demeaning thing to you, why do you keep doing it? ;P
@Ereiam
Also, why do you have to act like your some kind of philosopher? You definitely are not, else you wouldn’t be arguing with an Internet user on a brony website.
@Ereiam
Rather categorical of you to think that robots could exist to begin with in a world that doesn’t have technology more advanced than a basic steam locomotive or deejay set. Until the existence of G5, we haven’t seen any ponies use smartphones and TVs certainly didn’t exist, and there was no robots of any kind in G4. So how could Sweetie Bot exist in FiM to begin with? I haven’t seen her once in the actual show, and that is what I consider to be ‘canon’ as I don’t follow the comics.
@Enmity1498
Rather categorical of you to assume that an empathetic capacity and emotional responses couldn’t be emulated through artificial means (especially, as previously mentioned, in a fictional setting where magic is a thing and sentient, fully emotive equinoids could very well be brought into existence).
@Ereiam
I never said that they didn’t have anhy sort of intelligence, as I fully believe machines will be far more intelligent than we humans will ever be, simply due to their ability to connect to the World Wide Web. My claim, however, was that they couldn’t exhibit emotions, as that is a biological trait.
@Enmity1498
Their synthetic nature doesn’t preclude the possibility of an intelligence, even if it may have been programmed rather than evolved (obviously not at our current technological level, but we’re talking about a fictional setting here, not real life).
Wow, we are getting a lot of SymbianL uploads as of late, and I am loving it so, so much!
This is a wonderful remake of an already wonderful drawing. It truly shows that SymbianL can even make emotionless robots look truly adorable!
Btw, let’s just enjoy a robot pony, year 2021, robot term as evolved anyway.
Emotions are not a “biological trait”.
No, your unit lacks a soul. Go depose of yourself so we can try again.
Does this unit have a soul?

BTW I don’t mind if she either has feelings or is a soulless automaton.

Robots aren’t a race. You are acting like they are biological or something.
That’s racist.
Machines don’t have feelings. That is like saying that a laptop computer has feelings.
Hey, don’t call her “emotionless”, you’ll hurt her feelings >:(
