it was the final episode until g5 decided to be a continuation of g4
I disagree the villains got what was coming to them and there were no more episodes left to do anything else with them.
Its better then like how the final episode of transformers had galvitron promising vengeance when there was never gonna be more episodes.
This is exactly what I keep telling people!
It’s the reason I call ‘The Ending of The End’ the worst finale, let alone the worst episodes of any cartoon I’ve seen.
It’s pure protagonist-centered morality, hypocrisy and nepotism.
It’s just unpleasant, boring and all-around has no worth whatsoever.
Pleased to meet you!
Woah the legend of moral integrity himself blessed me with a reply!
Hello!
Exactly!
These kids show villains are darker and more dangerous than manray lol
NNM also wanted eternal night which we saw how it was…
From their first day there, he showed them Sombra’s death up close to threaten them into serving him and demanded that they work together beforehand. Every scene they were in together had Grogar give out at least one threat. And the fact that he was willing to use his magic against them when they were arguing/not listening to his forced conscription says a lot about how he treated them.
Another reason to give them a second chance and proper help.
And? Thats the same thing every other reformed villain tried to do. There’s also the fact that Discord further encouraged them to do it and gave them hope for success when he could very well have worked towards helping them change. He gave them the tools and means to attack Equestria and suffered no punishment for it.
Trouble which they could have only caused because he gave them the opportunity for it. If anything, he needs to be kept in line as well. Even then, that was no excuse for the lying and manipulation he committed.
Just because the villain who wasn’t even given help to reform would do it doesn’t mean its in any way right or not completely abhorrent for the supposadly reformed villain who also had a streak of sadism in the past to do it.
She literally sent a manticor after them and I doupt that her charge against Twilight was meant to be gentle.
That would be a assumption but we have never seen on screen nmm trying to kill the mane 6 like we have the trio
Who’s to say she wouldn’t try? She wanted to pay Celestia out for “overshadowing her.” And what better way to do that than destroying all her means of hope?
Edited
He didn’t threaten them for months thats a exaggerration he only threatened them after they were arguing for a long time/ simply wouldn’t listen. They were like a arguing family they were no way threaten for the plan on the level that the fandom portrays, this also forgets the fact that they had plans to take over Equestria anyways, he was probably tryna keep them in line partly so they wouldn’t go off by themselves and cause trouble beyond his control. The threatening of having someone power over them is the same that they wished to do to all of Equestria, chrysalis said lets have ‘fun with our guest’ she was planning to torture them. And u cant truly see nightmare moon as being worse than the trio, i Dont remember nightmare moon ever trying to murder the mane 6 multiple times over.
He got his powers back and was forgiven immedietly after the trio were defeated. And even that anger was very brief. And yes, he was dragged around, but when you compare that to the months he spend manipulating and threatening the trio, who were already punished beforehand and were willing to let him go after they depowered him theres barely any comparison. Simply being chaotic is no excuse for his actions, otherwise we’d have to go easier on Cozy for being a child or Chrysalis for being a changeling.
I never said I wanted him to suffer more, I said that if Discord got away unpunished for everything he did leading up to the finale and for the things he did after he was so graciously given a second chance, then the trio deserve that same second chance, especially since they were left weakened, surrounded and harmless by the very same friendship attack that saw fit to imprison Discord and NMM.
He lose his powers had the ponies anger at him which obviously hurt him, was captured and dragged around on a chain by the trio and wasn’t forgiven until he put his life in danger to make up to others. If u want him to suffer more than thats just cruel yes He just messed up badly but he had good intentions for what he did in the first place in his own chaotic way
Like how Discord showed remorse after escaping and being let out or how he showed remorse for the way he manipulated others?
@Background Pony #455C
He was never punished for his actions in the finale and all he got was a bit of anger directed at him. He was forgiven shortly afterward. Also, putting yourself in danger isn’t that impressive when you made the danger.
Oh If they put their lives in danger to make up for it like discord u forget he wasn’t easily forgiven
