You thank the stylist for her service — and commend her on her pun — before bidding her farewell, and exiting the parlour. As you step outside, you find a familiar security guard waiting on the other side of the door.
 
Revel Stripes: “There you are, outlanders. Do you have a moment? There’s a friend at the checkpoint who would like to have a word with you.”
 
Sensing a hint of urgency in the unicorn’s voice, you respond with a concise nod, and follow her to the western checkpoint…
 
Revel Stripes: “I’m back, Florie, and look who I found.”
 
In the midst of pacing around the room, Florette stops to turn and look at the new arrivals. The worry on her face vanishes for an instant as she does a double-take at you.
 
Florette: “Trailblazer! I almost didn’t recognize you.”
 
You greet Florette, and ask her if there is anything you can help her with. Words immediately begin to fly out of her mouth.
 
Florette: “Oh, it was horrible! The paladins, they came into the Cathedral, and then everypony started fighting, and I don’t know what to do! And I… um… Sorry, let me try that again.
 
Ahem. I… believe it started early this morning, when we received an announcement to keep an eye out for some dangerous foreigners. This isn’t too uncommon, you see, so I didn’t pay it too much attention at first.
 
But when I heard the description of said foreigners, I couldn’t help but think of you and Smoke here. I take it by your timely change of appearance that it is indeed you they were speaking of?”
 
Smoke: “And what if it is us?”
 
Florette: “Oh—! I didn’t mean like that. I just wanted to make sure, that’s all. To be honest, it struck me as odd that they would go so far, and knowing you, I figured that it had to have been a simple misunderstanding.
 
Now, I’m not so sure. Just a few hours ago, a contingent of paladins from all over Midgard arrived in Elysia. I didn’t quite catch all the details, but they didn’t seem happy about the new announcement. And then…”
 
Florette pauses, struggling to find the words to continue.
 
Florette: “And then, I don’t know what happened. All of a sudden, there was shouting about heretics. Fighting broke out between the paladins and the Champions of the Crown. It was awful!
 
I was so scared, my first instinct was to run down here to Revel. And when I told her about this, she suggested talking to you as well.”
 
Revel Stripes: “Novelty, the generator, and now this. It can’t be a coincidence. What do you think, outlanders? Any idea what’s going on up there?”
