The DSM-5 articulates this symptom as self-hatred which encompasses continual feelings of inadequacy, guilt, and low self-esteem. [feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt (which may be delusional) nearly every day (not merely self-reproach or guilt about being sick)]
Ramani Durvasula says it is Narcissism. [Narcissism has never been about self-love – it is almost entirely about self-loathing]
Unless what we’re seeing is a DSM-5 Category Paraphilic Disorder. [sexual arousal in response to actual or fantasies of extreme pain, humiliation, bondage, or torture … unrelenting fantasies with urges to be beaten, bound or humiliated during sex]
So …
Possibly Celestia is such a narcissist and has fetishized being sexually submissive to Twilight for so long that she’s now, in fact, self-loathing. But in a sexy way that her sister has to watch every night.
