Exactly the reason I don’t say it. I never thought they didn’t matter.
I’m willing to bet that people weren’t even outraged that a black American got killed, as that is an everyday occurrence in the hood. Rather, what set people off was the mere fact that a black American died at the jackboot of a white man with a badge.
Certain people are emotional creatures, and are easily riled up by such… provocative imagery.
@Gigpink
Well, a race-grifter might say “because people here are racist”.
I say there’s a better reason. A lot of downvotes are because no one really cares for virtue signaling anymore. Or shoving highly-divisive politics down other people’s throats, for that matter. No one is interested in hearing people cry about their virtues, and they sure as hell don’t appreciate being called racist for not bending over every time they feel the need to yell about it.
To be frank, it’s pretty racist to assume that every single black person is onboard with BLM, as if they’re interchangeable. Then draw the conclusion that therefore if you don’t support BLM, you must hate black people. It’s iniquitous to allow a group to claim ownership over other people merely by existing AND claiming to represent said group.
…And just who, exactly, aside from the small sect of actual racists and white supremacists that exists today, are saying that they (black lives) don’t matter??
@Anoncrsh All lives matter
You are living dangerously with that comment, my friend. I wish you Godspeed.
But yeah, people are not fighting racism or helping anyone by posting about these highly divisive politics, they’re just doing it for the sake of bandwagoning and/or virtue signaling. They’re keyboard warriors who do nothing but talk big.

Edited because: quoted wrong person
Black lives matter.
