The problem isn’t the pineapple, the problem is that many pizza places use the pineapple in bad ways. See, pineapple is a dense, fibrous fruit that still holds most of its’ juice after its’ cooked. Hence the soggy crust on pizza with huge chunks or whole slices. The solution, dice the pineapple into little pieces and sprinkle it.
Same for onions, as a matter of fact. Nothing ruins a pizza quite like big chunks of raw onion that pull the rest of the toppings off with one bite.

No it’s not, and the people who say it’s an abomination are the same people who eat raw burgers and think snails are food.
