No, I was just saying based on how lots of pranks go. It’s not a prank that I’d do myself.
I mean you’re the one who thought of it when I’m sure no one else did or ever would so clearly it had some merit to you
I think that maybe other people might think it’s a good idea, but I think it’s too far and not very funny. Sometimes pranks are pretty cruel, though. I remember I saw a prank where a guy convinced his wife that their son died as a “joke”, so I’m not the biggest fan of pranks.

Still, they might say it as a joke to see if anyone falls for it. They did something similar with that EU law, saying the site would shut down and people believed that. So if they want to do another thing that people will fall for, this would make sense.
“While it’s literally still getting worse” is pretty solidly in “way too soon” territory, especially considering the fact that the size of this site’s userbase pretty much guarantees that some of the people who used to post here have actually died IRL from La Grippe 2020.
