Aw man, I was trying to write a story, and in that story, I tell the location of the rooms in the Twilight’s Castle, so I wanted the locations to be canon and coherent with the show because I think that making my own map of the castle is a headcanon.
Word of advice, don’t kill yourself over this. The show’s architecture is horrendously inconsistent. You’re best off making your map of a location, and basing to the best of your ability off the show.
I’ve tried mapping both Sweet Apple Acres and Fluttershy’s cottage at different points, only to realize their layout shifts to the needs of the episode every time they appear. I’m pretty sure only had two floors originally then spontaneously developed a third sometime between the first and fourth season, and there is no reasonable way the Apple family’s home can fit inside that barn and the one tiny addition on its side.
