I just was curious of any particular choices that you could have made. For what it’s worth I really think you did well on the eyes and the shadow below her. If I where to choose anything I consider weak it’d be the head looks slightly large compared to the body, but my “artist” eye is limited and that could easily be a stylistic choice (I mean MLP heads already are that and Pony Life further so). Though even if it was spur of the moment I kind of like it overall.
||btw I’m from Texas and though I won’t want to stray too far in the political realm of the comments here I will state that I really really don’t like “communists” either. ||
Idea to draw this come from nothing in a moment and after a few hours it was done, I’ve used the colours scheme of chinese flag and here it is.
I know it should be batpony but I haven’t thinked of this much, just draw it for fun.
btw I’m from Czech republic, my country and many people’s lives were destroyed because of communist ideology and Soviet union, screw all the communist and any “communist” regime
Nah your fine I think most would take it that way. Let me take this topic in a more on topic and positive direction: what was the process that lead you to settle on that design? Was there anything particularly hard with drawing it? I actually curious as it doesn’t appear to be that influenced from the other memes floating around other than the the virus itself as a feature.
My statement on DA was meant to be against Chinese “communist” regime and don’t tell that’s wrong to be against “communism”.
If you want to talk about racism or whether china is controlling the narrative or any of that other stuff, use the forums.

It also could be just against the Chinese government and not the people. For all the talk of China attempting to size the narrative that they brought the world time and are helping everyone they really did a horrible job of responding to this going so far as to arrest the doctors who first started to warn everyone and critics of their response still keep disappearing.
You thought it was racist, but it was ME, DIO!
You could call it bigoted if that was the case, but again calling it racist is just incorrect.
The main difference too is that people are not generalizing in this case so I’d not even call it that. No one (or at least not most people) think all Chinese are “bad” or something due to this as obviously it is not their doing for the most part. If people are doing that then they are retarded and obviously should be called out for their foolish behavior because generalizing individuals like that is pretty much never a good idea (except when used as a heuristic). On the other hand legitimate criticism of the country and its poor sanitary practices which lead to the constant spawning of viruses which kill thousands of people around the world is a fair point to have in looking at a nation as a whole (as that is the root of this).
Looping back to this image though, the message is “fuck you China”, not “fuck all Chinese”, hence why it is not even a kind of bigoted attitude but rather a message to the country which is mostly to blame for this occuring.
That´s splitting hairs in my opinion… What difference does it makes if someone gets singled out because of his nationality, rather than skin colour? The motivations, mechanisms and results are the same. Human “races” are artificial constructs anyway, so i think there is not really a distiction between a “race” and a “nation”.
Besides, anti-Chinese actions during the Coronavirus crisis are in many instances indeed linked to “traditional”, phenotype-linked racism. There were cases where e.g. Singaporeans were called out as “China virus” and beaten up, just because they look Asian.
Against China perhaps, but that doesn’t make it racist. After all being Chinese is not a race.

Oh, didn’t even check out the source. Was just going out from the image itself.
Also I didn’t think of the Chinese national colours here. My first thought was ketchup and mutard xD
Let me see.. use of Chinese national colours, insulting the Chinese nation in the upload description.
Yep, that picture is obviously directed against Chinese.
I fail to see the racism here.
Nice name lol
Coronavirus is the “trendy” name for this new virus. Blame the media for that I guess. Kinda funny that the CDC basically named it SARS 2.
The funny thing about the coronavirus family is that it includes the cold virus, so most people have likely had a coronavirus in their life.
Perhaps but I still think it’s stupid. Same argument could be said for calling it just “the virus”, obviously everyone knows about it in context but that doesn’t mean it’s the actual name. For common usage sure who cares but when news sites or Twitter morons report on it using that terminology it makes you wonder if they even know what they’re talking about (that or they know it’s the best way to clickbait their brainless readers, who knows).

It’s pretty obvious what people are referring to when they call it the coronavirus. Plus, it’s the easiest to say.
