-damn biggest NG after Janus (who is a literal giant)  
-hot pepper woman who rolls a +20 on intimidation every time  
-professional wrestler; her stage name is the “Smashing Pumpkin”  
-grows pumpkins really well  
-hell of a farmer as a day job; hopes to inherit the farm and family business  
-loves children  
-hates reading, likes to figure things out on her own  
-queen of pride and stubbornness  
-very protective of her younger cousin  
-tries to play instruments but she usually breaks them instead  
-cannot sing, cook nor make clothes  
-very nervous around pretty mares but tries to play it cool  
-hates visiting Canterlot with a passion  
-has terrible stage fright
 
And there ya have it! The three kids living on the Apple farm. Both Sophie and Ashmeade are artistic with a growing presence in Canterlot where Ida Red would sooner spit on a wasp nest than have anything to do with that place.
 
*I was curious if trans women are still capable of becoming biological parents, barring cryopreservation of sperm, and it turns out it is possible but very improbable due to hormone use. Even if hormones are stopped, it can take months before she would be capable of conceiving a child “the old fashioned way.” Even then there is no guarantee, so at some point, perhaps Maud went off her hormones for a while and conceived Sophie that way?  
That got me thinking about how trans ponies would transition in this world of magic! Do they even use hormones? Would they use some kind of transfiguration magic? I’ve determined that same-sex couples would do it temporarily to make a baby, but is it complicated to do it permanently? Are there similar risks associated with the magic? I like to think that transfiguration is more stable the closer the new form is to the nature of the creature being changed, so a transitioning pony would indeed be more stable as they are closer to their true selves. Maybe they have to get the transfiguration in doses like hormones?  
Maybe Earth ponies rely on potions to do the work! Maybe Maud, who is from a traditional Earth pony family, prefers the potion method to transition and has a natural distrust of magic? So then, her transition would be very much like it is in the real world; slow and steady, and each pony that chooses the potion route would have different reactions. What are your thoughts on this? I’ve really yet to touch trans issues in MLP, mainly because I wanted to educate myself first and make sure I remain sensitive.
