And you are exactly correct; “Ic lufie þe” does indeed mean “I love you” in Old English. (Wonders what an Old English dialect sounds like…)

XD I love that version of it! My Brit Lit teacher in highschool always broke into a Scottish accent when she said it, so I can’t help but sound a bit like Sean Connery lol. It’s just stuck in my head like that.
