Personality:  
As the sole heir to an entire empire, it’s no wonder Flurry Heart worries a lot. She worries about everything from her personal relationships, how her subjects perceive her, how well she’ll be able to handle the responsibilities of ruling, and her inevitable longevity as an alicorn. She works very hard on her current duties while rigorously preparing herself for what’s to come, but she has a hard time slowing down and living in the moment. Her husband and other ponies she is close with are there to help her with this, but it’s hard not to get overwhelmed at times. She is very selfless in her duties and relationships, but she is also a very genuine and caring mare which makes her a great friend to anyone she meets.  
Relationships:  
The Empress and Emperor Consort of Love raised their daughter with a lot of love, so it is only natural that she has a lot of love for them in return. Cadence and Shining have always been very supportive of their daughter, taking every possible step to make sure she is ready for the throne but also supporting her emotionally. Flurry looks up to them a lot and hopes to be just as charismatic and brave as them and the rest of Equestria’s leaders.  
Although Flurry grew up as an only child, Shining Star is like a little brother to her. As his Crystaller, she’s been a mentor and friend to him just as his father Sunburst was to her. She’s honored to help nurture such a bright mind and to be one of the few he trusts with his secrets, but she worries that he seems to have no friends other than her. Especially since her time is now divided by her duties, her husband, and her plans to have foals, she hopes Shining Star will find other ponies to enrich his life just as much as she has.  
Once a childhood friend, Pound Cake has been a constant in Flurry’s life from the cradle to the altar. Now her husband, Pound Cake and his go-with-the-flow attitude provide Flurry with much-needed relief after a busy day. He is a great listener and foil to her worrying nature, and she loves him for it. Her friend and sister-in-law Pumpkin Cake was right when she said they’d make a great couple and have foals one day.  
Of her fellow royals (other than those related to her), Flurry is quite close with Velvet Shade. As the only children of world leaders, both deal with a lot of unique pressures that few have ever felt, hence they have a lot to bond over. They confide in each other about a lot, and their relationship will only grow stronger over the next century.

Hence the snowflake on her flank, Flurry has the power to manipulate ice and snow. While her powers caused near-doom when she was a baby, she has since refined them. Now, she can steer away blizzards and create peaceful snowfalls and spectacular ice displays. If she’s particularly stressed she might accidentally fill a room with ice and snow, but she has enough self-control to keep it contained.
