Applebloom was trying to program a Kastelan, and things got out of control rather fast. It’s an issue that comes due to lack of compatibility, only topped by that annoying moment when your USB port doesn’t want to get plugged in.
This is one of the pieces I feel the happiest with, especially with the integration between background and character. Many a times my drawings look like the character is standing in front of a backdrop painting (the ask pony blog curse), but this time I think it worked out rather nicely. It’s weird to feel happy about something, then again there’s a few months in between the completion and me posting this, so there is a disconnect during which I’ve come to accept the good parts of this drawing.
