Description
I tried making Rara’s mane and tail. Her mane while missing a small patch I feel kinda ok about, her tail on the other hand… Lets just say I couldn’t imagine how it was supposed to corkscrew in 3d and this is the result. I may just give up on her for the moment and go for an easier mane/tail.

Yeaaaah I can confidently tell you that your model won’t replace the SFM models, this is an uncanny creepy human-horse hybrid that doesn’t look anything like the ponies in the show.
The muzzle should probably be elongated a bit, but that flank looks just fine.
You have two different levels of “anatomically correct” here, which gives the viewer conflicting visual cues. The head doesn’t look like it belongs to the body, and vice versa. That may be the effect you’re going for, but it appears unnatural.

Do you mean I should go more like Clopician’s models for the face? Honestly I was trying for the roundish short muzzle like in the show but a more proportionate and anatomically correct body.
The idea was I wanted something to replace the current sfm models for people to use as they look pretty bad when placed next to anything with realistic proportions or in VR. My model however looks pretty proportionate to me in vr… Well maybe the plot is a little unreastic… >_>

Ill try but this is my first time 3d modeling, still have to teach myself how to add texture to hair, bones to make it move and eyeballs… I have no idea what to do about eyeballs.
