This is the ““world’s hardest easy geometry problem[](https://thinkzone.wlonk.com/MathFun/Triangle.htm). It looks simple, and if you’re allowed to use trig it is, but when you’re not it’s surprisingly challenging. (And without calculators, doing trig in a timed competition would be impractical anyway.)

I took some fancy-ass math courses in college, and I still flub basic mental math from time to time. It happens.

Check out how even their handwriting is different, at least when it comes to their answers (rest of the equation was probably copy/pasted to save time).

If for whatever reason we reverse F and E and take <BDF=60° to be true then the problem becomes solveable and x=75 or if we again ignore letter order X=35
mad_mandolorian

Need 1 more angle near the top to double check the answer, however their work (which is the same for both) makes no sense X is shown to be the angle <DEF which would imply that E is the point nearest X (top most vertexies of the image) making F the interception of lines AF and BD (the point in the middle) however it is shown that <BDF=60° however this is impossible as all three points lie on the line BD (the angle should be 0°)
