I disagree, I actually felt Starlight was a great foil for Sunset, and their interactions were pretty interesting.
You also forget there was a final boss battle, as cliché as that moment was…
Regardless, I actually liked this episode, and I’m probably in the minority for that, but I don’t care.
Plus, I like Starlight’s outfit.
