Soon after the near-tragic “Battle of the Bell”, Discord was put on trial for his role in the conflict, and given a somewhat reasonable verdict by Princess Twilight Sparkle. As punishment for summoning and encouraging known fugitives of Equestria, Discord would be turned to stone and placed in the Canterlot Garden. As a reward for his part in bringing those fugitives to justice, the sentence would only last thirty moons, and Discord would be granted a short parole every Tuesday in which to visit his friends and change the pose of his “statue”.
