Spike at least deserves to know how he got into the ponies’ possession like that.
I don’t get why didn’t he ask Celestia yet on why does her school have the egg he hatched from.
Ehh…it could go either way IMHO. Yes, I agree that there was story potential there, but I don’t think there was a much as people seem to presume. We had episodes going all the way back to season 1 focusing on Spike’s ‘belongingness’ and him being an adopted dragon in pony society, and without clever writing, an episode featuring his parents would’ve come across as yet another one of those.
Which is sadly a waste honestly..
At least tell us how the hell did his egg ended up with ponies. Eggs of sapient beings such as dragons don’t just pop up out of thin air and into ponies’ possession like that.
Besides a couple of episodes, it didn’t really seem like a major motivator for his character.
Honestly…I’m ok with that. As far as I’m concerned, the Sparkles ARE his real family.
