@Joshua
Yup. Lol.
Haha, nah, calling it easy mode would be a misnomer. Playtesting shows that normal is a challenge for experienced gamers, which is the intention. Hard is there for an extra challenge or people who just want more.
An actual easy mode is planned for release, but it will require a lot of tuning to be just right.
@imercenary2
Ah, ah, sorry for the trouble and thank you for the feedback and bug reports. Most of the stuffs are getting fixed, altho I’m pretty confident with the characters current attacks and moveset, this is not the introductory level of the game so it can probably be a bit rough to get into here, as its supposed to be just a little bit awkward to force you to use different parts of your toolkit, rather than all of them being useful all the time.
I wanted to talk about the keyboard controls tho, as this is a concern. Did you press escape to open the menu, you should have a box there for rebinding keys… and typing this I just realized that the description of the game is for when the controls was not rebindable and I had multiple setups instead.. nevermind, thank you so much for bringing this to my attention.
Tried the forest demo: Wow those rock puppies are bullshit. I thought they were harmless decorative characters cause they didn’t damage me when I first touched them, but then they started attacking, chain stunned me and took 3 1/2 hearts before I could jump away.
The keyboard controls didn’t work; I could move and jump but not attack or block, I had to use the mouse for that. But I’m willing to bet thats my setup, not the game.
The attack range doesn’t feel good. I know its supposed to be a pony kicking so the range will be up close, but the enemies have long range/having lunging motions/high speed compared to the player. If I’m going to be stuck making a short range attack like that, I want the enemy to be stunned like every kick I make ‘hurts’.
The harpy is very cool, but kinda too fast. If I didn’t get it didn’t get stuck in a wall, I wouldn’t have had a good look at the sprite. The harpy apparently has the ability to hop on the air? shrug Its a harpy I guess. The AI gets easily confused for sure.
No, You died was a joke I added early in production and I have not replaced it yet. The game is the regular fair, linear action platforming, but with cute horses.
Wait, this isn’t a pegasus… A harpy pony is a cool idea.
The animation of the Harpy is really good! It’s fluid and dynamic.
The player charcter portait could use some work though, The eyes could use some smoothing or anti-aliasing, and I think some shading on the face (I’m thinking the lower chin and the parts shaded by her hair) would contribute a lot.
It is timing based, try to block right as you are about to get hit.
Alright, I guess. I just have such a hard time with the blocking because it gets me damaged anyways.
Yup. Lol.

I was playing… the “EASY MODE”?
Oh there is, when you beat it you unlock hardmode. :3
Let’s just say it beat me up a lot more times than I’m able to count.
