My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic just ended
Equestria Girls is ending after “Holiday Unwrapped” (Confirmed “final set of adventures”)
Adobe Flash the_ technology that defied G4 and MLP:FIM(aside from the movie and Rainbow Roadtrip) the technology will be defunct at the start of 2020, leaving Toon Boom Harmony as the preferred form of animation tech(which will be used for G5)
DHX has been renamed WildBrain, everyone who worked on MLP: FIM and EQG have left the studio and have moved on to other studios and other projects.
The only thing that remains of G4 is IDW’s comics..but that’s it, makes sense, comics are a lot easier and cheaper to produce then animation.

They did before with the EG app but that failed due to finding EG dolls with codes at stores and the not updated it with the Legend of Everfree also in rainbow rocks the dazzlings was never mentioned and they stopped supporting the app
The only representation Equestria Girls got in that game was the dance minigame that never got updated after the first movie. 5 songs with the Mane Six as playable characters and that’s it. With a separate town building game, the money would undeniably be generated by the Equestria Girls series and there would be no reason to cancel it.
They have MLP the game, Equestria Girls is a part of it.
I’m just pointing how they could have easily sustained the series with the profit from a mobile game.

Hasbro is being ridiculous. Toys don’t sell that well in general these days. Not even Toys R Us could stay in business. Something like that made these Equestria Girls toys sell even less.
What they should have done was make a town building mobile game for Equestria Girls (like they did for My Little Pony). The profit from it would have easily sustained the series.

Plus Hasbro’s stock plummeted 17% today. They are focusing on Power Rangers, Transformers, Micronaughts, GI JOE and of course Generation 5 of MLP. Equestria Girls is over, G4 is over.
