That is a good question! Celestia and Luna didn’t, maybe the effect of the magic is permanent, or perhaps it simply takes time to wear off. That begs the question if Celestia and Luna will shrink lol. We will probably find put in the comics.

Maybe. She apparently grew into Celestia’s size overnight, || according to the leaks||. I headcanon that it would happen to anypony who became an alicorn as an adult. Since Cadance apparently became an alicorn as a foal, her change didn’t happen overnight. Instead, she’s experiencing an accelerated version of how an actual alicorn grows to Celestia’s size. It’s a bad headcanon, I know!
Does that mean she’ll shrink if she takes it off?
