Ah, I gotcha. Personally, I think lightning doesn’t NEED to strike twice, since they are not starting over. It looks like MLP will be building on FiM, with Season 10 building on the story and fantasy, and PonyLife building in the slice of life and “innocent” nature of FiM. And then G5 would be more of a AU of FiM.  
Of course, there would still be that risk of not putting effort into it, but according to Hasbro’s current CEO, that doesn’t seem to he the problem. He wants alot of time, money, and effort put into their film and series, because he thinks that will make brands like MLP build over generations.  
Like, when we have kids, because we loved FiM so much, we will introduce our kids to MLP, and so on and so forth.

Rethinking about your comment,i just wanted to say you shouldnt interpret my comment as “fuck the MLP brand”,i’m just saying it’s going to be hard to make the lightning strike twice at the same place.Again,just my opinion and feel free to disagree but IMO skip G6,i dont doubt they’ll put as much care as possible into it but it’ll suffer the weight of FIM being an hard act to follow.And hey,maybe the MLP brand will never be able to recapture that magic ever again (i stress my empahsis on maybe,i’m not a fortune teller) but maybe just maybe FIM spiritual successor will come from i dunno ,another IP or something new entierely

You’re opinion is totally fine.  
I would say that in my opinion, the heart if FiM is little ponies doing big things. As long as MLP keeps that at the heart, I’ll be happy!  
For some, FiM is just a one off. For others, it lead to a deep love of MLP.

I’m sure they will find it tbh. Given that Pony Life is more of a slice of life short series, IDW has all the room in the world to set itself apart, and they will deliver.
