Did you read any of the Chronicles books? A lot of people think those were better than the main series.
I’m glad someone else calls out those shows as overrated.
I read a bunch of the books and it was a total waste of time. Whatever the faults of modern YAF it is WAY better than Animorphs.
You know, thinking about it, Animorphs might be the type of series that needs to be done in an animated or CGI media to do it justice for a reasonable budget.
The books, especially the overall story (excepting some books that fell flat), are way better than the TV series, which wasn’t treated with enough seriousness or money. I want a proper adaptation where the Hork-Bajir, Andalites, and Yeerks (and other aliens) look like they do in the books’ cover art. And the morphing special effects are on par with today’s CGI.

Agreed, the real problem with the original Animorphs TV series was budget. Now days the kind of effects needed to do the books justice are a lot cheaper to do. I’d love to see it be given another go.
is that bad? ive read a few of the books and its pretty dark, honestly find the right director and actors and I think it could work. plus the og series was pretty dark for the short time that it had

Tbh, Animorphs and Goosebumps were like t he two most overrated series of that time period.
Another reboot is the last thing we need right now anyway, it’s all anyone does anymore and they are god awful at it.
