this is the part where sunset investigate they’re van because she thinks they’re behind it and even in the end this part they tell sunset that she’s the one that needs a change which puts are on the right track in the next part.
and again the music video was the only thing that made him look more important and that’s really only because it was released first. they were not in the trailers and they’re not in the thumbnails
That the sirens’ part in the special directly impacted the plot and was thus not “completely forced fanservice that you could’ve cut or replaced and nothing would change” (your exact words) is not a point of view, it is a matter of fact. “It’s my opinion” is not a valid defense when attempting to contradict reality.
“I like the color blue” is an opinion.
“The mid-day sky is blue in most parts of the world” is not.
I don’t believe anything is objectively wrong, with a few exceptions of course, but that’s another topic for another day. Regardless, it’s just my opinion that they were a wasted cameo just for pandering and it’s simply your opinion that they weren’t. There’s no factually right answer here, it’s simply different points of view.

False. Your ‘take’ is provably, objectively wrong. Mine is a simple acknowledgement of what occurred in the special. If you say “wood burns when set on fire,” it would be disingenuous and nonsensical of me to insist that the wood was falling apart for unrelated reasons or that it wasn’t burning at all, or to imagine scenarios in which burning wood does not burn.
No, we just have different takes on the subject. Neither one of us are right or wrong, it’s all a matter of perception and preference.

That’s debatable, but I guess we can agree to disagree.
I’ve seen this argument before, and it was just as broken then. The same thing can be said of literally every character in the special. The sirens got an important role and were not just “forced fanservice.”
Well they could’ve done that with almost any other character and it wouldn’t have made a difference, it probably would’ve meant more if it was someone Sunset was a little closer with like Trixie or Wallflower
I’m pretty sure you and everyone else that didn’t pay attention would be wrong. Their role was (unintentionally) helping Sunset realize her mistake in regard to Pinkie and the time loop, mainly in the line “If every day is the same, maybe it’s you who needs to change.”
That’s one way to look at things I suppose
To be fair, they work as sort of a red herring. Plus, I’m glad they didn’t try to force any sort of redemption storyline for them.

Still, their sideplot ate up most of the screentime in this part, so I would still count this as a fitting title card.
The Dazzlings’ return was the primary reason anyone anticipated this special.
