you know i think even in season 4 final discord didnt actually betrayed…just a plan and a chance for twilight to prove herself…as when celestia sent discord to defeat tirek exept sending twilight

I agree with that the villains coming back is good for Twilight and the Mane 6.
 
But I seriously think they should’ve thought of something better than what they came up with if they want it to happen.

For me Discord is on even now. He was extremaly reckless with his planning (if everything went good, it would be a great plan, but he didn’t take into account that they can actaully get the bell). But if it wasn’t for Discord, Stsrlight would never be free, which means every other character would still be in the cells. They would never go console Twilight and the Equestria would ultimately fall. Given, it was partially Discord’s fault this all happened in the first place but he still managed to clean it up, even without his magic

Lets give Discord credit here: If it weren’t for him forming the Legion of Doom and sending Sombra to attack, Twilight and her friends would’ve been screwed as rulers. The sisters were seriously just handing Twilight their power and titles on a silver platter and leaving after a few days of preparation. Can anyone else imagine the clusterfuck that would’ve resulted from that? Twilight was fucking panicking, and for good reason. Thanks to Discord, the sisters were convinced she needed to actually; you know, know how to rule. If you ignore the part where he sent the villains after a artifact stronger than even him, his plan was actually pretty damn good. It worked.
 
Don’t go misunderstanding. The plan to say the least….really should have been thought through more, but it honestly really helped Twilight become ready to rule in the end. Probably would have ended worse for Equestria if he didn’t do what he did.

In his defense, Discord isn’t actually used to people taking his advice.
