Look what I found on my hard drive - it’s a comparison that I made some time ago for a twitter discussion.
It’s not meant to call out, shame or judge anybody. In this case anatomical correctness is not indicative of skill, it’s just a choice (and in fact a lot of artists made art that falls on both ends of the spectrum - CBTwi and Fearingfun for example).
Instead this is more to call out poor tagging that categorises all these images as ‘anatomically correct’ and there’s no way to differentiate between them.
I tagged what I could find, sorry for all the things I missed.

IRL horses aren’t fans of crotchboobs, either. Their udders are petite, even when they’ve recently foaled. Mare teats, along with stallion nutsacks, are much farther forward on their barrel than the large majority of fandom artists draw them.

None of the mares from the “God tier” would have teats visible from these angles.
3rd and 4th row from the right are not “God tier”, they’re “high” tier and those feature mares that would have teats visible if they were present. But that doesn’t matter too much because this comparison was mainly between the actual shape of the vulva and anus. Teats are just an extra.

Yeah I know that, but there’s just a few here that are very obviously lacking in teats lol. Just looks weird to me. But I understand some people don’t like them.
