Also, there was a stained glass window in the episode depicting Flurry Heart, all grown up. So he is either really old…or dead by now

Cadance never showed any of the signs to suggest that she was immortal (magic flowing mane) like Twilight did.
 
Journal of the Two Sisters states Celestia and Luna’s longevity was due to their connection with their respective Celestial bodies. Twi’s is presumably connected to her friends (hence she won’t outlive them), if not all the friends in the land. Why would Flurry had taken the throne by then if Cadance expected to still be around?

He IS the only canon male known to have bred an alicorn,  
Perhaps this has a side effect of extending his lifespan somewhat.  
If Trixie can do an age spell (with amulet assistance) Cadance certainly could learn to do such.  
Somehow I see Cadance & Flurry being rather attached to their husband/father.

Cool, but just because people say that means nothing. The epilogue canonized it. Twilight looks like Celestia and Luna. The other mane 5 look like they’re in their 50s. Twilight is definitely outliving them, even though Mc Carthy didn’t want that.
