It does loosely make sense from this viewpoint, except they were previously talking about Johnny’s work at the bank (with him refusing to tell Mark about his new client on confidentiality grounds, before abruptly changing the subject on a topic much more intimate) and at this point in the movie’s plot, Johnny still has no idea Mark’s the one Lisa is cheating with anyway.
Actually as fun as it to joke around about it, didn’t Wiseau say that to the guy that his girlfriend was cheating on him with? So it does make sense in context.
That line’s just as awkward and out of place in the actual movie. XD
