To put it straight, I’m not mad at any of the heroes. I’m mad at the Legion of Doom for being the final antagonists so that they wouldn’t reform. I’m also mad at Grogar for having been revealed to be Discord.

I think we both know that that’s not true, after all, cozy openly gloated about how she wasn’t going to change and do the exact same thing all over again even when she was confronted and to powerless the first time. And tirek isn’t one to admit defeat either.

Everyone keeps saying how Tirek and Cozy are the same as Chrysalis, but look at their expressions! If Chrysalis hadn’t been so stubborn, those two might’ve surrendered peacefully.

I like to think she knew that Starlight was telling the truth but her mind was saying “N-no! I’m the one who knows what’s right! Its been that way since the very beginning and my Changelings know it! R-r-right?!”

I think Chrysalis only caring about power is debatable. She clearly has a vendetta against ponies and went mad from losing her position in power, but the origin comic (which is actually cannon) states how Chrysalis looked out for her subjects before they joined with Starlight. But as a result of her pride, she didn’t want to believe that some random pony knew better for her subjects than she did.

I think I like this bait better, since it is a little less strict. Unlike Cozy and Tirek, this bait could pay off in any number of ways without misleading us.

Well… I was wrong before about sequel bait regarding Cozy and Tirek.

I feel like the only reason most people would he dissapointed is because the finale is definitely sequel bait.  
You dont redeem the three main villains, you trap them in stone for a later date.  
We will probably explore it in the comics, I heard a rumor the 2021 movie is about the real Grogar and these villains, but it is still sequel bait. It leaves us wanting a continuation, and it clearly is leading to something more.  
Then the epilogue skips over it and serves as a…closing statement from DHX on what they see G4 end as.  
As for Discord, I won’t spoil it, but it wasn’t as simple as an ego boost for Twilight. He was genuinely trying to help, and in a weird way, he actually did succeed. Just in a chaotic way.

Don’t worry, Discord will also get punished along the trio. The best punishment I can think of is that he can’t use any of his magic for a month.

Way ahead of you on that. Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy have to live in a home in which they must live in a prison-like fashion as they begin. Twilight and the other princesses have disabled Chrysalis’ and Tirek’s powers as part of their biggest restrictions. As for Cozy Glow? Well, I’ve seen another pic that suggests she needs to get her wings clipped on a regular basis to restrict her ability to fly.  
They are heavily guarded at all times and once Discord is off his punishment, he is tasked with also helping the trio. Many of the friends that the Mane Six have met along their adventures will also pitch in to monitor the trio and they won’t be stupid enough to fall for any of Cozy’s manipulations. They’ll try to be friendly as much as they can but will remind the villains that they won’t fall for any tricks or else the villains would have to go back to square one with their consequences.

Maybe they’ll consider helping Sombra once the villain trio have fully paid off their crimes and can finally settle in peace.

If some ponies who posted here are correct, it was never about that. They were simply meant to be defeated by Princess Twilight to boost her ego. That’s why Sombra is still dead. He was just a tool and abandoned once he was no longer useful.
