Not a finale, but in season 4 Premiere Applejack had some great scenes

They’ve all had a shining moment in finales I’ve noticed.  
Dash and Pinkie had those badass moments in s5 finale  
Rarity is definitely this finale.  
Fluttershy had it in the earlier seasons with Discord.  
With AJ I can’t really remember any moments in finales where she stood out.

Yeah that was pretty clear IMO from what happened. Chrysalis only really won because of the sheer power difference; I think Starlight would have lost eventually even if she had not been caught off guard, the power gap was clearly too much and Starlight knew this which is why she fought the way she did instead of head on. Skill wise Starlight was completely making a fool of her. Starlight is just blatantly far more skilled of a fighter.

I think if Chrysalis was in her “base form,” Starlight probably would’ve fucking murdered her, no question.
 
She’s obviously the superior warrior to Chrysalis, having likely had some form of combat training. She made outplaying her look easy, only being taken down by being caught off-guard.
