Not when the dubs used Ball in nearly every other attack. Plus every time they said it, you could hear the voice actors actually pause before saying, like even that thought this didn’t sound right.
Actually even though “Spirit Bomb” has become an iconic name (which is one of the reasons Funimation has kept it along other names and terms introduced in the old dub), from what I remember “Spirit Ball” is closer in translation to the original name.
Can’t be as bad as the dub before Funimation and Ocean had dragon ball calling Goku, Zero and Bulma, Arial for some odd reason. No serious, Funimation was tamed even back in the day compared to the strange choices of other dubs.

The list goes on. Funimation was simply the most popular, nowhere near the worst.
So what do the Macedonians do with the episodes that have AJ and RD in dresses? Just skip them? Or air them normally with these male voices?
I gotta say, quite progressive to make them transgendered ;)
Kind of reminds me of how in all the Funimation dubs for the Dragon Ball franchise one of the names is nonsense. “Master Roshi”. His name in Japan is Muten Roshi and from what I hear, “Roshi” translates to “Master”. So his English name is “Master Master”.

Hah, maybe Sailor Moon helped inspire that law?
To be fair, America censored Sailor Moon’s lesbians, while Russia just aired the original. Though that was before that infamous law.
I heard this is why in a later episode of Steven Universe they put Ruby in the wedding dress and Sapphire in the tuxedo (even though Sapphire is usually the more feminine one). To deliberately give Russia a hard time over the episode. I don’t know what they did when they got there (or if they have gotten there).
Maybe skipped it even though it was an important episode? I know some countries skip the MLP episodes where Rainbow Dash wears a dress (because Rainbow Dash was changed into a guy in at least one foreign dub).
I have lots of mixed feelings over this image, mostly humorous and sarcastic feelings!
I personally find myself wanting to say something like,
“My goodness! Her mustache is absolutely fabulous!”

What you described is how I feel when a show has some 200 female characters that leads the fandom to create 800 lesbian ship combinations and I end feeling burned out from lesbian-shipping-overkill.
I’m okay with reasonable amount of lesbian ships and then a few gay ships tossed about and then my Pony immersions are doing good.
I think so… 🤔
