Whoo! First headcanon I’m releasing on here!
 
Okay, so this might be short. It also will not explain everything I believe is canon, but it will explain these two for the most part. Please deal with me, I haven’t done this before.

Headcanon Time
 

 
 
Wind Rider is the elder brother of Windy Whistles. As seen in the picture above, his mane was much more similar to his sister’s when he was in the Wonderbolts.
 
But more on that later.
 
When he met Clear Sky, he fell head over hooves. Clear Sky also found herself being attracted to the handsome stallion. As time passed and their love for each other grew, they both found themselves wanting to spend every moment with one another. Not long after becoming a Wonderbolt, Wind Rider proposed to Clear Sky, and they were married.
 
Wind Rider eventually became the second in command in the Wonderbolts, serving alongside the captain, Stormy Flare (details to follow), he had set a brand new record for the Mustang Marathon, and he was married to the mare of his dreams. Wind didn’t think he could be any happier.
 
Clear Sky did.
 
Shortly after turning 19, Clear Sky found out she was pregnant. She was ecstatic. Wind Rider’s birthday was coming up, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Her pregnancy would become obvious by the time his birthday came around. In her excitement, she bought and made several gifts for Wind Rider. One of the gifts was a simple little box with a piece of paper that read “Surprise” inside along with her pregnancy test.
 
Wind Rider had been becoming more and more stressed with his job at the Wonderbolts, and the effects were starting to show. He had heavy bags under his eyes from lack of sleep, and his mane had become dull and gray.
 
Despite this, he was still willing to celebrate his birthday, much to his wife’s happiness. She gave him every one of her gifts but the pregnancy test, and smiled wider and wider as he opened the gifts.
 
When she gave him the final box, tears of joy were gathering in his eyes. As soon as he found out what was inside, he burst into tears and flew fifty laps around the house, all while crying out “I’m gonna be a dad!!!”
 
Wind Rider happily retired at an early age so he could be home with his wife and soon-to-be child. When he held his little girl in his arms for the first time, he smiled wider than he ever had before.
 
Together, the happy couple named their new daughter “Lightning Dust.”
