So I saw this meme created by Thejboy88 , and I decided to do it because Sunset Shimmer is my all time favorite MLP character. Now going through the list:
 
Favorite Moment: When Sunset Shimmer sang this part in Rainbow Rocks, I seriously fell in love. The creators worked real well in making her from a villain to an uncertain character, to a good friend. Her coming to join in on the song Welcome to the Show displays that. How she became certain to help take down the Sirens and protect her friends seriously made me love her. I wasn’t so sure about her since she wasn’t such a great villain in the first Equestria Girls movie. But she became a part of the gang. And you wouldn’t know that since it seems she would just be a side character from the previews ect. But no, the creators did a great job revealing that she was to be part of the Mane Human 6. She went through a great redemption, the best actually. And this is why I came to love Sunset Shimmer so much.
 
Favorite Song: This is by far my favorite song Sunset Shimmer ever sang. Sure she has sung with her friends like Welcome to the Show. But this song is great at displaying Sunset’s inner emotions. Despite her becoming part of the gang, being loved by everyone, she still thinks about how she was in the past. And she regrets it. I listen to this song a lot because it speaks so much to me. Because like Sunset, I have done things in the past that I regret. And like her, I am trying to be better and showing everyone that I am not who I was back then.
 
Favorite Ship: Flashshimmer; well sort of. I mean I do ship these two, but honestly, I really don’t ship Sunset with anyone. Yeah I have seen people ship her with Twilight big time, but eh…I don’t ship that. I kinda like Sunset on her own. She doesn’t exactly strike me as the type to even for romance. But if I had to, I do like Flashshimmer. Plus, being with Sunset, Flash could use better character development.
 
Favorite Outfit: Okay, this one was a really tough pick. Because honestly, I like all her outfits. I think out of the others, Sunset’s outfits strike me as the ones that stand out. I like her color scheme and how she holds herself. This one I feel fits her the best. I’m kinda sad they don’t have her stick with it. But it is nice to have her and the other girls actually change outfits instead of sticking to same ones for years. So there is that. lol
 
Favorite Form: This one is by far my favorite form of hers. She truly looks like an opposite of her demon form and it’s a way to show she has changed. I seriously love this form and how she is able to take on Midnight Sparkle. I really have no other things to say but yeah, love this form. X3
 
Favorite Story: Or maybe movie or episode? If this means fanfic, I am going to substitute with an actual movie. Reason being is, I really don’t read much MLP fanfic. Yeah I know, shocking. Anyway, my favorite of the Equestria Girls movie is Forgotten Friendship. I mean I love them all, but this one really tugged at my heart strings. I mean, the villain Wallflower was weak, but the rest was really good. The reason I love this one is the fact Sunset Shimmer had to go through a harsh heart break through this. Her friends and the rest of the school don’t remember her changing and thus shun her due to how she was in the past. Poor Sunset has no one to really turn to. Though she was lucky to see Princess Twilight and even reconnect with Princess Celistia and even becoming friends with Trixie. However, what really broke my heart is when her memories were being taken from her. Her voice actress Rebecca Shoichet really sells it. She puts so much emotion into it that I almost cried. This is why I love this one so much. Just seeing Sunset having to through such a heartache made me want to be there for her.
 
There you have it. My thoughts on why I picked these and also why I love Sunset Shimmer so much. She is a great character who went through such awesome character development and had the best redemption out of all the villains who turned good. Regardless if anyone doesn’t like the side story Equestria Girls, Sunset is the main reason I watch them.
