I had to think of that vision of Twili presented by Discord in the season 9 opener. Of course Twili would never be a bad ruler but the scene was pretty cool. Hope you like it.

That’s what I’m hoping for. My head-canon since the very first episode has been that Twilight Sparkle was a potential villain that Celestia was trying her best to turn to the good. All of the Twilight-clones–The Great and Powerful Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer–hint at what Twilight could be if she embraced her dark side. We need to see that happen for her story to be complete.
