This is definitely still Kazumi Evans. Says so in the credits.
This doesn’t sound like Rarity at all to me; Kazumi doing Rarity’s singing sounds a lot closer to her.
What I’m wondering is why Kazumi Evans never sounds this close to Rarity when she’s actually singing as Rarity. Of course, it’s been years since she was first cast as such, so maybe it’s improvement born of experience.
But right now, to make sure she transitions into our program smoothly during advanced courses, we’re taking this course very despacito, mi amigo!
Octavia’s voice actress, Kazumi Evans, also provided Rarity’s singing vocals. She also voiced Moondancer and Adagio Dazzle.
Either different voice actor, or original voice actor couldn’t remember the exact voice they gave her and deviated a bit(someone can check the credits).
If it’s the former, she was likely assumed to be a one-time voice actor for the 100th episode. Writers probably didn’t plan on having Octavia actually talk ever again, but then they used her for this, and the original voice actor probably wasn’t available to record.
