That works in real life as you can see too, especially if you are the CEO or HR, you can’t always give your buddies the job to be together, because there are technical difficulties, you need to even test them.

I think I get this episode. Ponies are trying out for teacher roles. Trixie is assuming she is going to get a position cause shes best friends with Starlight. Starlight decides to not hire her because shes terrible for the job and it’s the right thing not hiring her fir a permanent position.
