Description

From the start, Donut Joe and Pinkie were very close after the whole situation with the cake. They stayed in close contact after it, often exchanging recipes and such. Unbeingknownst to everyone, they started secretly dating quite soon after. Their relationship was on and off for the longest time. Pinkie herself was very busy, and Joe was too far away to remain close to. Eventually both of them started dating other ponies, Joe dating Sassy Saddles and Pinkie dating Derpy. But they always felt something was wrong with their relationships and sought each other out when their relationships became distant.

They hung out as often as possible, but really, they were still very far apart, until Pinkie decided she would simply move to Canterlot. It was surprising to Joe when she showed up at his door with a suitcase. No, she hadn’t been kicked out, and no she wasn’t in a rough spot, she simply wanted to move over here to make things work.

Despite them not being married, Snickerdoodle was born about a year and a half into their close relationship. She was a bit of a surprise and at first, neither Pinkie nor Joe knew how to react to the small filly. But Pinkie’s experience with the Cake twins helped a lot. When Snickerdoodle was two years old, they finally got married, and have been going strong since. There have been some rough parts in their relationship, which lead to about a month or two of ‘breakup’, but in the end they got over their differences.
