Wallet After Summer Sale -

The Lost Primarch
@gato

“Actually, i can answer why there are Kings and Queens. Chess was a Changeling game, originally conceived as a way of testing a Hive leaders strategic capabilities. It ended up falling into Pony Hooves after one of the Hive Kings, who was impersonating a Pony at the time, ended up having his chess board discovered…and he had to cover it up by teaching the game to the ponies that found him out. Ended up becoming incredibly popular, and he had to make several boards, making quite the fortune. He was also the only Changeling in history to willingly abdicate his hive in order to live off the riches he made.”
