For NATG 2019 Day 10: Makeup Day, I finished my Day 7: Draw a pony’s darkest secret fav.me/ddaoh9y
This is somewhat a throwback to one of my first pony works: fav.me/d59ok35. I hadn’t attached much of a story to the idea of Derpy being a changeling at the time - it just seemed a fun idea. Although after Skywriter did me the honour of asking to use that art as a cover for his story amazing Derplicity - I highly recommend it! - and with his story fitting her personality so well, I cannot help but finding enjoyment in entertaining that idea every now and then.

Well a parasite that feeds a little on many hosts to mitigate the harm done to each one is still a parasite.
But I don’t think it’d count as parasitism if the love she got was given to her freely.
I do wonder if it would be possible for her to take love or affection without really being that much of a parasite. After all taking a little bit from a big group would satisfy her without putting too much of a drain on others.
Not sure how that works but it’s interesting to think about.

xD i think Changeling ponies before the colour versions feed off of love. so im pretty sure derpy would be living like a parasite off of either her friends or family.
