no. lyrabon is still the most overrated shit … uhm ship.
Agreed, it also has the dumbest origin I’ve seen for any ship, except Brason but I think that one is a joke, oh they sat on the same bench, they must be lovers.

OP is wrong. SciTwiShimmer is the most overrated (apart from being one of the worst) ship in My Little Pony history. it’s more popular than Rarijack has ever been.
Its a ship. Just like all the rest. Nothing wrong with it. Its SOME of the shippers, particularly the ones that bleat ‘Its 100% canon now(Its not). Disagree with rarijack and you are steeped in desperate denial and a bigot’ constantly at everyone. If you ship it, fine, just don’t go roasting everyone who doesn’t. Same with every ship.
Besides that, it is kinda getting stale when the writers feel the need to put these two together all the time. Two people in a whole circle of friends find themselves paired up at every instance like the others don’t even exist. Guess we’re never getting a raripie or appleshimmer ep.
@Kane
You seem to be missing the point. You are supposed to change my opinion on the SugarMac ship being overrated. You are completely failing to do so.
Both the show and fandom barely give that ship attention
That ship has gotten more attention from the show itself than any other ship, confirmed canon or implied ships.
Shining Armor & Cadance: the two episodes involve actually shipping the two had the ship secondary to Queen Chrissy’s plot.
Lyra & Bonbon: LOOSELY implied in Slice of Life and in EqG.
Maud and the Stick-in-the-Maud pony (Mud Briar): shipped in two episodes, but like with the Royal Wedding episodes, kinda pushed to the background behind the episode plots.
Sugar Belle & Big Mac: the shipping was THE PLOT for two episodes. First it was Mac needing to smack down that Beiber-pony competitor for Sugar’s affection, and then it was Mac all afraid he lost her. Then they did a very blatant stab at Marble Pie by deliberately having Mac and Sugar suddenly getting all affectionate together in front of Marble during the Hearthswarming episode.
Personally, I feel that MarbleMac would have made more sense, due to the fact that there was the feelings developing between the two back during the Holder’s Boulder episode. Beyond that, FlutterMac would make even more sense, whereas Fluttershy has shown interest in him, and the fact that they would have a lot more interaction than Marble or Sugar Belle would normally have.
@Biker Dash
Overrated? Both the show and fandom barely give that ship attention (At least from what I’ve noticed). I mean I prefered MarbleMac, but I guess the show ran into a problem with the whole Apple-Pie family relation subplot (that went absolutely no where.)

They left it on a “I’ll leave it to your imagination” note for what I think is this: Publicity gets good and bad feedback; if Rarijack were to become canon it would eventually ebd up in the news and get talks that take it farther than needed.
Rarijack should be like a “Aww. Cute couple!” But publicity would get it to implications by extreme critics saying, “Who is the dominant one? Rarity or Applejack?” “Should girls be allowed to know what a girl-on-girl couple?” “My Little Pony promotes lesbian sexuality!” Society’s media makes a lot seem sexual and less romantic or innocent. Sadly, nothing seems innocent for long because people have gutter-minds and make everything about sexual indecency.
I wouldn’t call it overrated, I’m not a fan of it personally, but it is one of the most pervasive ships.
Like most things, I can appreciate it if it’s done well, but for the most part it just seems to be a “Look, opposites attract!” thing, which I’m sorry, but that alone just doesn’t fly for me. There has to be something for them to build the foundation of a relationship on, and I just can’t see for looking what common ground there is for AJ and Rarity to potentially hook up, hay, there’s more grounds for Raridash, the two of them could bond over martial arts, seeing as Rarity seems to have some level of skill in it and Rainbow is an instructor.
I suppose one could make the argument that they both have a strong work ethic but I think that’d be a detriment, they’d be so focused on their jobs that they’d just never make time for each other, or they’d have to build a relationship around scheduling, and their jobs are both of the type where something can pop up at a moments notice and ruin everything.
Lol, that sums up almost every shipping here.
Not overrated, but it came out of nowhere, like most canon ships.
The two very forced by the fandom.
Is that his own hair?
Does he have his own jet airplane?
Is he a millionaire?
Agreed, it also has the dumbest origin I’ve seen for any ship, except Brason but I think that one is a joke, oh they sat on the same bench, they must be lovers.

I despise both ships.

But as I said, I’m pretty sure the whole subplot with AJ and Pinkie potentially being related prevented MarbleMac.

And that does nothing to change the fact that it is a overrated ship. (In my opinion)
Please don’t be a canon nazi
Like SugerMac.
Which is why I will never support a ship unless there is evidence or outright confirmation.
None of the ships are canon. But does that stop this fanbase?
They could have also been acting like, you know, Friends. Friends can be touchy or close where they act like they did.
It’s hard to tell what’s canon or not when two individuals act like lovers.
Rollercoster did not make Rarijack canon tho. Even the team said that despite the teasing and hints, Rarijack is not canon
It’s SunLight that’s the most overrated ship.
But SugarMac is actually canon.
