Description

Once, there was nothing, an existence before “time immemorial,” before matter or energy, and in this existential limbo existed countless entities that went about their lives as only they could.

Then, there was a bang; a bang that started life as we know it, and ended the life that came before. All but a select few- these are now known as the Planck Species, or the Origin Species. As the intense heat that started the universe expanded, it also infused in those who had the will to survive it, granting them godlike status in it’s new world. Not all of these Origin members were so lucky to get to embrace their newfound powers as one particular creature found.

Maria, as she would be called millennia later, had once had a lover. He was everything she ever needed in her life before, and could have easily carried her through her next one… If only they were so lucky.

Injured and incapable of persisting past the pain and damage done, her beloved Peri before her very eyes- and that, my readers, is how the story truly begins.
Stricken with grief, she raised her head high and sang. She sang a song of longing, of loss, of pain and solitude. This song traveled through all of creation, and taught those creatures the emotion of sadness and loss.

Countless years later we come to Vida Emocionate, Star Citizen of the Solar Empire and a leutinant in the Solar Legion. Her husband, Ender, had been sent to an impossible battle just prior to her own deployment, and when she returns she finds that he didn’t make it. She was grief stricken and grevious in her rage. It’s this intense passion that originally drew out the long secluded siren from hiding, attracted by sympathetic vibes.

They agreed, when they eventually met, to keep each other company, and to borrow one another’s power. You see, Maria could not take physical form for some time, and needed a host body strong enough to contain her power to be able to manifest, and Vida was the first such entity she felt comfortable sharing this bond with. Celestia, in this galaxy-spanning empire, cares very little for her subjects. She seeks victory over her sister and her Lunar Republic for complete control, and she’s oh so close- just that last push she needed, and that’s what Ender gave his life for.

Vida and Maria can safely agree this is not okay.

So, the two go on adventures together, seeking turth and the evils of the world, conquering them together. Time and Time again they claimed victory over these malevolent forces, until finally they encounter the ultimate goal: cleansing the great capital city of Solaris.

The final showdown. Winner takes all. This- this is where it is all won or all lost, and in the heat of the moment Maria, at the height of her power, raises her head and sings her song again. It lays wake to ruin and devestation; the sky bleeds and fire blossoms over the cityscape like life giving birth to death, vice versa.
