Goth and Emo came from Punk which came from Rock which is what heavy metal harelds from as well. There is no problem at with using these as similar things. Really trying to state there is a large difference is like trying tell that gospel isn’t the same as christian. Who cares. Gyphon over here didn’t seem to care so why should that break his argument.
Plus, you do realize he’s not even subcribe to the thread anymore so asking him questions now is a pointless attempt to make him look stupid.
what the hell does goth have in common with heavy metal, you have a lot of words, but you have no idea what Emo, nor Goth are.
Goth and Emo are both musical genres and if you are Goth or Emo, claiming to be, then you should be listening to those genres. If you’re just dressing a certain way, that is just a scene, you’re a poser.
Goth is its own style of music, Heavy Metal doesn’t connect with Goth, perhaps darker Metalic music.
Maud is not Emo, nothing about her wardrobe, behaviour tells me she is emo in the slightest. Why are you talkinga bout these communities when you know so little about them? Can you even name any Goth or Emo bands?
That it, I’m done. I’m unsubscribing because clearly, you don’t want to listen, you just want to win, which is boring. I showed my proof long ago, you have not proved me wrong once, all you doing no is making yourself look stupid.
I’m done, have your ‘win’. This has been the most boring conversation ever. I would call it an argument, but it was far too one-sided to even be that.

I’d say the exact same thing. Maybe don’t put words in people’s mouth in the future. It’s good advice.
Again, you continue to not read a single word I say so why should I care.
You just love messing with people’s words and saying they said things they never said, don’t you?
Thank you for finally acknowledging you aren’t listening.
I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous.
Wow, you are still not listening. I never once stated you agree with me. It’s very clear you don’t care about a single I say. And since you have yet to prove my statement wrong once outside of words I am done here.
And to still make it clear as my final comment.
Maud is EMO, Starlight is goth, Sunset is a biker, Sunburst is a nerd, Trixie is a stuck up bitch, Twilight is obsessive-compulsive, Applejack is the honest asshole, Rainbow Dash is jock with a secret heart of gold, Pinkie Pie is the head in the sky, Rarity is the preppy secretly psycho girl, and Fluttershy is the punk with a temper who can tell the difference.
And we love all of them for those reasons. They are each very distinct and separate from one another. These personalities are very clear from the moment you meet them yet they can still surprise. In the end, these words may seem cliche, but they are very real parts of this world and are often what can keep a character from boring.

You’re just twisting my words at this point. My words were “What’s Maud got in common with a gloomy Goth”, not that. Shuffling words around in people’s sentences and claiming they said it is incredibly obnoxious. I’m saying she’s not a Goth, period. There’s nothing whatsoever in the show that could possibly imply Starlight or Maud ever being a Goth. It’s no more likely they’re Goths than Twilight or Applejack or Fluttershy or the CMCs. And I’m certainly bewildered as to how you would think Starlight is gloomy.

You said this. It right there in plain sight. Your saying that Muad can’t be goth becuase she not gloomy. But Starlight very plainly is gloomy.
You mean isn’t now. Is that what you trying to get across? Wow, and you accuse me of not listening ecause I already stated early that goth is not a phase, just like bith, prep, and emo. There are many adults like that. People don’t grow out of it, they just simply learn to show it off less, because the world is an asshole to them enough that they are afraid. Considering that Starlight has a lot of fearing issues it very easy to see her hiding it as an adult, but as many episodes have shown when she is just around the ones she trust, the most, she very much acts like a goth.

Uh, no I didn’t say that at all. I can’t stand when people say I said stuff I didn’t say. Neither Maud or Starlight are Goths. I fail to see anything that implies that. Whether or not Starlight may have been a Goth when she was a teenager doesn’t matter, because she isn’t.
Hey, you said it. Don’t deny what you yourself have already claimed.
Starlight is goth, Maud is maybe an emo at best, and Trixie’s a bitch. It classic cartoon girl trifecta. Only this time there is no lead, Trixie just thinks she the leader.
What rubbish.

Also funny you use that line to state Maud couldn’t be goth yet later state Starlight couldn’t be goth either, when Starlight has been constantly shown as the most gloomy member of the main cast.

As for the phase stuff, that is all media talk. I personally know people in their forties who are still goth. It is not a phase.
Sunset is punk at a stretch, Starlight is clearly not. Street punk has very little care for their hair and even high geine. Starlight is shown constantly to have a clean side and has gone through hairstyle in the canon of the show.

Next her clothes from EG.
They stink of goth. Heck, the only reason she isn’t wearing spikes is that this is a kids show.

Skulls, heavy metal, black paint, what about this is not goth. Also, have you seen her recent room? All those colors are still there perfectly matching her original room even though they don’t match the castle at all. Face it, she more goth then Sam from Danny Phantom.
Next up, her current hairstyle. Hair over the face, which is also common in goth.

You know that was from when she was a teenager, right? Likely in the middle of a phase. We’re talking about the Starlight in the show. Also, that doesn’t look like Goth stuff, it looks more like street kid stuff.
Uh, since when is Starlight a Goth either?
She is best friends with a canon goth Starlight so it would be too much of a stretch.
