Do they become babies in that special?
It was mostly because I believe these toys are part of the rainbow roadtrip special’s toyline and I know people were going to complain about continuity

They did it that so that kids can have a baby-ized version of the character when they were adults in the show.
And also portraying Pinkie Pie with Frizzy hair and being a cake and party lover ever since she was a baby
These look more like the show then Newborn Cuties. Just be glad they are not designed to look like they are crawling.
