Glitter Drops and Tempest Shadow’s reunion wasn’t what one would call a smooth landing. The Princess of Love was nice enough to push Tempest in the right direction, but that didn’t mean Tempest had gotten over her anger or feelings of abandonment by her old friends. Glitter Drops was just a school washout, a failure of Celestia’s school that had made her way north with nowhere else to go. Seeing her old friend was fantastic compared to the general solitude associated with keeping out threats to the north. Cadance put the two together like unsteady dominoes, and pushed it over with a smirk. Sure, they fought, but they’d reconciled quickly. It doesn’t take long for Tempest to consider Dropsy like an extension of herself. Roommates is one thing, but job partners placed them in danger together. You can only be saved by somebody so many times before you quickly appreciate them beyond what may be professional. Casual meetups turn into hesitant dates, then casual ones, and suddenly it’s been ten years and while not married the two are sure not going to be with anyone else. (I haven’t decided if they have a kid yet.) Tempest has her issues, but Glitter Drops will always be there for her girlfriend.
This ship is underrated and gods damn it all it must be represented someplace.
